Huntly Rewards Loyalty Card Scheme

Aberdeenshire Towns Partnership, with the assistance of HBA, are launching a loyalty card scheme for Huntly. This is similar to other schemes already operating in various towns in England. The aim is to promote loyalty to individual businesses and to the town by offering rewards to customers who build up points based on their spending.

So far (6 August 2008), about 14 businesses have signed up to the scheme which is planned to launch in early October 2008. The technology company will now be setting up the readers and cards. Any other businesses wishing to be part of the scheme can still join within the next 2 weeks to in the initial launch.

Smart cards will be sold to customers which can be used in any participating business. Points are accumulated at each business until a predetermined level is reached when a voucher is issued. This can then be redeemed for a reward on a return visit. The rewards offered can be widely variable to suit individual businesses.
