By Anne L. Forbes
As part of the Huntly Hairst Word Fringe in association with the New Words Festival:
Anne's book traces the rise of the Gordons who controlled vast areas of the north, to their zenith in the person of the 4th Earl of Huntly 'Cock of the North' and Chancellor of Scotland - until it all went wrong. The book contains the parallel biographies of four of his sons and two of his daughters. She will give a presentation introducing you to people and places important to the Gordons of Huntly in sixteenth century Scotland. Anne will show slides and sign copies of her book.
Tuesday 4th September at The OAP Hall, 23 Church Street, Huntly at 7pm.
