Dance

There are seven dance schools in Huntly alone, from the traditional to the contemporary from Highland Flings to Western line dancing. Highland Dancing is highly stylised and competitive. Young dancers compete at Highland games all over Scotland. Scottish country dancing, with its Eightsome reels and Gay Gordons is making a come back under the guise of 'Ceilidh Dancing', a mix of Irish, Scots and North American steps.
