Join Whiskies of Scotland on a tour of Knockdhu distillery, Duncan Taylor bottling plant and the Whiskies of Scotland Huntly store, with lunch at the Castle Hotel: 30 April, 1st May and 2nd May.
Join Ronnie Routledge, manager of Whiskies of Scotland, Huntly and www.singlemaltsdirect.com on a comprehensive tour of Knockdhu distillery where its charismatic manager, Gordon Bruce will show you around his traditional, wee but outstanding distillery, share his passion for the great single malts he's producing there, how he's improved production methods in the past and what he plans for the future. He might just offer you a wee dram too!!
A quick soup and sandwich lunch at the picturesque 18th century Castle Hotel run by the extremely welcoming Meiklejohn family, before returning to Huntly and the "Icons of Whisky 2009 Independent Whisky Bottler of the Year", Duncan Taylor for a tour of their bottling plant.
Next, a short walk around the corner to "Whiskies of Scotland", home of www.singlemaltsdirect.com and Ronnie's baby!! There you will have a short, informal but informative tasting of 2010's award winning whiskies from Duncan Taylor. You will also have plenty of time to browse their very crowded shelves, arguably the best whisky selection on sale in Scotland today!! You will also get a free entry to a prize draw to win a bottle of the "Duncan Taylor 70th anniversary Malt", worth £140.
